The Advanced Public Safety Diver course  was developed to give the PSD  diver continuing advanced education on skills they may be required to perform in the field. This four day course increases knowledge skills in demanding areas such as diving in contaminated water, evidence recovery & handling, home land security, heavy lift & multiple dive platforms, surface air supply, and court testimony. The following is an outline of the program content  but is not limited to these topics alone.

Underwater Dive Center Inc. is proud to offer the following Public Safety Diver (PSD) courses. We feel these programs should be the minimum standards for  all Search and Recovery Teams. International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD) has spent a great deal of time designing the first course of its kind and the only OSHA approved and National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) compliant PSD course. The New IANTD Public Safety Diver will be taught along with a number of other courses. This will give the Public Safety Diver the knowledge and experience to deploy in their local environment and complete their missions successfully. Our IANTD & OPOTA  instructors have over ten years of experience being  members and team leaders  on Public Safety Dive Teams. This enables the Public Safety Divers to be taught from real life scenarios. Look for these courses to be protocol for PSD dive teams country wide. We are looking forward to training with dive teams in Ohio  and the surrounding state area.
