This Dry Suit course is designed to develop necessary skills, knowledge & techniques to safely dive a dry suit. The course will emphases the use of dry suits for Public Safety Diving. The overview: Cold water physiology, hypothermia, hazards & emergency procedures, buoyancy & trim awareness, types, features, technical options, care-maintenance and weighting . Because buoyancy is critical, this course or equivalent (12 hrs. logged experience) is mandatory for Public Safety Diver course. The course includes 4 hours of lecture, 4 hours of pool, and 2 open water dives. The open water dives can be combined with the PSD, or FFM courses.

The Ice Diver Course will allow the Public Safety Diver to use their skills in a cold water and over head environment. This course will focus on training, such as, Ice evaluation, Hole cutting, Diver deployment, Communication & Signals, Safety diver duties, Line Tender Duties, Search patterns, Emergency & Lost Diver procedures, and Hole closing & marking. This course will educate the PSD diver in all phases of an Ice Diving operation. The course includes 1 day of lectures, 1 pool session, and 2 full days of under ice diving.

This course is designed for the diver that is new to Full-face Mask Diving or needs to know protocols and safety procedures for FFM diving. This course consists of 4 hours of lecture, 4 hours of pool, and 2 open water dives. The course is taught to be mask specific and includes Features, Benefits, Options, Safety & Emergency procedures. Each new piece of equipment should be mastered prior to use during an open water operation. Don’t be task loaded during your PSD course by not being proficient with the equipment you will be using. The open water dives can be combined with your PSD course.
