In 1992 Underwater Dive Center Inc. pioneered Technical Diving in Ohio with IANTD Technical Diving Certification Programs, our mixed gas filling station, and gas analyzing equipment. We feel proper Dive Training is one of the Most Important aspects to minimize accidents. With this in mind, we have designed our courses to be of the highest quality and to this end we have committed ourselves to your training.
Technical Diving is not for Everyone. Not Everyone is ready for Technical Diving, Not Everyone should. IANTD has designed a course curriculum that builds upon  itself, allowing the sport diver to enter the technical realm in steps. Our program is dedicated to honing skill levels and increasing self discipline that can be used in all levels of diving from sport to Technical. Whether you have previous Technical Training or are Just Starting, Underwater Dive Center Inc. can bring you up to Speed ...

TECHNICAL & NORMOXIC TRIMIX DIVER -These skill and knowledge intense  programs have been combined and designed for those that wish to explore depths between 130 ft to 200 ft. using helium based mixtures . Gases used for this course will include min. 20 +-1 O2 / max.  30 +- 1 He trimix, with up to 100% O2 for decompression. The curriculum includes: gas  breathing & matching management, advanced decompression theory & the use of custom computer generated decompression software, narcotic depth calculations. Using run times instead of decompression stops. The tracking of CNS%, OTU’s, and helium will be just part of the advanced dive planning. Rehearsed reactions introduced in one confined, and seven open water dives will insure safer exploration at deeper depths.

TECHNICAL WRECK DIVER - This over head environment course combines the theory of Advanced Nitrox with Wreck Diving. This is a thorough program focused on safe wreck penetration. The training includes use of reels (land & o/w), equipment configuration (wreck), wire entanglement egress (land), lost line drills, line laying, exact buoyancy, fin techniques, and gas management & matching. The minimum bottom time of 280 minutes will be used to the maximum and usually exceeds these times. This is the ultimate program for the explorer/wreck diver that will develope sharp diving skills needed for safer overhead environment wreck diving.

MEGALODON CCR REBREATHER. Rebreather courses are training specific. After careful consideration we have chose the Megalodon designed and manufactured by Inner Space Systems. This CCR has achieved high marks causing many CCR divers to switch. The “Meg” is built in the USA  by rebreather divers, has all U.S. fittings and comes standard with most options that cost thousands to duplicate on other CCR’s. The “Meg” adapts to Technical and traveling diver well. Its aluminum canister is bullet proof and will accept a Cislunar canister. There is no clam shell which limits tank size and creates drag. It is modular in regards to removal of  tanks for travel, comes with real time deco software including  trimix, 6 gas OC bail-out and three O2 sensors with redundant primary and secondary electronics. You can add a HUD for triple redundancy. The “Meg” course will include lectures, confined water session and 8 open water dives with run time in excess of 500 minutes.
